Comprehensive drug rehabilitation with music

Service user representatives (experts by lived experience) played a crucial role already during the phase of developing the grant proposal for FALCO; they contributed to developing overall aims as well as design and implementation aspects. Building upon this initial involvement, user and stakeholder involvement is now broadened and deepened during the FALCO project period and beyond, both at overall project level (through the Expert Advisory Group) and at all participating sites (through Local Advisory Groups). Areas of research covered by FALCO team members include neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, music therapy, statistics, gender studies, criminology, social anthropology, and health economy.

Postdoc researchers, PhD students, and Master students

• Scientific Steering Committee (SSC): supervisory body ensuring successful execution of the project, chaired by NORCE and comprised of work package leads and co-leads and one elected member of the ECRs.
   
• Data Monitoring and Ethics Committee (DMEC): The DMEC consists of independent methodological and clinical experts whose oversight helps to ensure the integrity of the trial and to deal with any ethical issues that can arise. The DMEC receives regular unblinded summaries of recruitment, attrition, uptake of interventions, unforeseen events, adverse events, and immediate information on any serious adverse events from the trial statistician. If any ethical or safety issues arise, the DMEC will recommend appropriate action to the study team.
   
• 8 Local Advisory Groups (LAGs): In each of the countries participating in FALCO, a Local Advisory Group (LAG) provides advice and support regarding participant recruitment, assessments, interventions, and other aspects of study implementation at local sites. • Expert Advisory Group (EAG): The EAG acts as advisory body for the overall study, overseeing and guiding all user involvement strategies and activities within the project.
